When our landlords, Archie and Nicola Orr-Ewing, received an invitation from the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire to take over the lease at the historic Swan Inn in Swinbrook, it was an opportunity they couldn’t resist.

Although The Swan Inn is still primarily a place for the village community to share a drink, the Orr-Ewings have helped to build a reputation for excellent food too and guests can travel long distances just to visit for lunch or dinner. With six beautifully refurbished rooms in a converted stone barn, it’s also an excellent place to stay if you’re exploring the local area and looking for somewhere that matches the charm and warmth of The King’s Head Inn.
