When our landlords,
Archie and Nicola, first took over the King’s Head Inn, they were
recently married and had just started their family. Living and working
at the pub, they added many of their own touches and put their stamp on
the selection of food, ales and wines. Over time, they have also built
up the reputation of the Inn for its affordable, comfortable and attractive
bedrooms.
In recent years, the couple took up the offer of a lease at The
Swan Inn, Swinbrook from the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire. Although
this new project has involved many additional hours of work, Nicola and
Archie remain very much a part of life at The King’s Head Inn and
the wider community in Bledington.
